Each of these original pictures began as a photograph taken by me.
I've used my digital darkroom, some modern software and my drawing techniques to turn them in to the finished art you see here. All are giclee prints, ink sprayed on fine art media, either acid free archival paper or fine art canvas. Giclee is French, you know, and pronounced zhee clay'. I also know how to say merci and Merlot and I enjoy French fries.
The best way to maintain the original appearance of these pictures is to keep them in total darkness and low humidity. So it's best to just take a picture of the print and then hide it somewhere. OR just keep the print out of direct sunlight as much as possible and it will look great for many years.
I'll sign your pictures and mail them to you in a sturdy box. Canvas prints will be stretched over wood in the style known as gallery wrap in which the printed canvas covers the sides of the stretchers. You see picture from any angle. This makes framing optional. The prints will be wrapped in plastic or cellophane. Fine art paper prints will be in white acid free matting, with a foam core backing, wrapped in plastic or cellophane and ready to frame. If you'd like special treatment such as framing and/or plexiglass, just drop me an email at dan@pictureneworleans.com and I'll send you a cost/time quote.
